Happy Pride 2017!

The 2016 Greater Lowell Community Health Needs Assessment revealed that community members who are isolated or without family support are at risk of developing mental health, substance abuse and other issues. There is a lack of sensitivity to this community, as well as a lack of awareness about transgender individuals. It’s easier to deliver more effective health services to individual when you see all of who they are–including how THEY identify their gender.

The LGBTQ Subcommittee is a group of professionals and community members committed to addressing these issues, raising awareness and ensuring that ALL the members of the Greater Lowell community have access to culturally competent, inclusive and high quality services and supports. The Subcommittee also aims to build a network of resources and individuals in the community who can provide affinity and support to one another.

We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to participate as a sponsor, vendor, or volunteer at the 2nd Annual Greater Lowell Pride Family-Friendly Event. Please find attached the following documents:

We encourage you to share the sponsorship letter, registration form, volunteer sign up, flyer, and the Facebook event page.

This year’s event promises to be even bigger. We hope you will come support the LGTBQ community in the Greater Lowell Area.

With many thanks from the Greater Lowell Health Alliance,
LGTBQ Subcommittee!
