PowerPoint Training Class

Being able to make an effective presentation is critical in today’s world. An effective PowerPoint can be the difference in how your audience leaves your presentation. Everyone talks when they leave a presentation and contracts are won and lost based on how your presentation is received. A strong PowerPoint skill set helps employer productivity while ensuring that employees maximize their career goals.

Every year, hundreds of nonprofit and business leaders gather the State House to celebrate Nonprofit Awareness Day: A Celebration of Nonprofit Excellence, a statewide holiday signed into law by Governor Deval Patrick 10 years ago. This celebration is hosted by the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network and presented by Citizens Bank. We look forward to celebrating the impact of nonprofits and those who demonstrate excellence this year on June 4, 2018!

During Nonprofit Awareness Day, Nonprofit Excellence Awards will be presented to organizations and professionals exemplifying the innovative and effective work of nonprofits across Massachusetts. Nominations are being reviewed and winners selected by an independent panel of nonprofit and business leaders. Last year, MNN received over 125 Nonprofit Excellence Award nominations. Stay tuned for updates about this year’s Finalists.

Join our annual social media movement leading up to Nonprofit Awareness Day where we will use stories, images, and stats to tell our neighbors, elected officials, and funders how Massachusetts’ nonprofits are #MAkingadifference. The social media campaign will begin in May. Click here to sign up for campaign reminders, tips, tricks, and sample language to help you engage in the campaign.

Equality & Equity – Advancing the LGBT Community in Massachusetts

Please join us for a special gathering of civic, community, and business leaders, as we release a new report and consider the state of the LGBT community in Massachusetts. During the event, new data will be shared, lived experiences will be highlighted, and space will be created to discuss ideas for action.

The report authored by Boston Indicators and the Fenway Institute features new research about our state’s LGBT community, drawing on public data, findings from existing research and key insights from interviews and listening sessions. Following a presentation of the report’s findings, we will have a series of discussions on the inequities facing today’s diverse LGBT community and ways to address them and other challenges going forward.
