Lowell Board of Health Public Hearing: Proposed Amendments to Tobacco Regulations

TIME TO TAKE ACTION, attend and speak out at the Lowell Board of Health public hearing at 6:00 PM on June 15, 2016 on proposed amendments to its tobacco regulations. The hearing will be held at Lowell City Hall, 375 Merrimack St, Mayor’s Reception Room (2nd floor).

If adopted, some of the proposed changes will have the following effects:

  • Prohibit the sale of tobacco products to those younger than 21;
  • Allow the sale of flavored tobacco products only at Adult Only “Retail Tobacco Stores”.
