MetaMovements Latin Dance Company and the GLHA would like to invite you to an event that we will be hosting near you on Saturday, August 6th. MetaMovements is a Latin Dance Company that uses dance as a way to promote healthy and positive lifestyles to communities around the Boston area. They are excited to announce that for the first time they will be bringing their popular event, Salsa In The Park to the Lowell community. This is a free event that is friendly for all ages and involves tons of dancing, meeting new people and having fun. Free performances and salsa lessons are also offered during the event.

2016 Annual Diversity Challenge Conference: Educating Our Youths
Each year the Institute for the Study and Promotion of Race and Culture (ISPRC) addresses a racial or cultural issue that could benefit from a pragmatic, scholarly, or grassroots focus through its Diversity Challenge conference. The theme of Diversity Challenge 2016 is Race, Culture, and Educating Our Youths. The two-day conference includes panel discussions, symposia, workshops, structured discussions, poster sessions and individual presentations by invited experts in education, administration, research, mental health, and community activism.

Community Memorial Service
Anyone who is grieving the death of a loved one
is welcome to join us for a time of quiet reflection,
music, and readings as we remember those who
have touched our lives.
Those who attend are invited to bring a photograph of their loved one
(in a stand-up frame if possible) for display during the service.
This annual event is presented as a community service by the
Hospice Program at Circle Home. It is open to all. There is no cost
and no reservations are needed – “come as you are.” All are welcome
to stay for refreshments after the service.
