Topic: Protective Services – Helping older adults and families manage conflict and find resolution. Provides services to older adults, age 60 or over, who may be at risk of physical or emotional abuse, neglect or those at-risk due to self-neglect or financial exploitation.

To RSVP, please respond directly to this email and your name will be listed to attend. Sometimes we start a short wait list. We realize everyone makes every effort to attend. However, should something arise, please refer to the cancellation rule stated below.

Cancellations

  • Personal – If you need to cancel your reservation we ask that you give us as much advance notice as possible out or respect for our host and other members who may want to attend and have been placed on a wait list.
  • Weather – If inclement weather conditions cause the cancellation or postponement of the network meeting we will email all members and post it on our Face Book page at www.facebook.com/elderservices. Beginning this year, 2018, if a host has to cancel because of weather, we will offer the last Wednesday of each month as the make-up meeting date.

Location Change

Sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances, we need to change the location of the network meeting. This will be sent in an email with a focus on the new location and posted on our Face Book page at www.facebook.com/elderservices.

Kids Summer BookFest

June 7 is the second annual Kids Summer BookFest, where Project LEARN, Lowell Early Childhood Advisory Council and Eastern Bank are joining forces to host a fun, family-friendly celebration of early education. There will be free books, ice cream, crafts, face painting and more!

The event will be held at Eastern Bank, 50 Central Street in Lowell, from 3:30 to 6 P.M. on June 7.
