Compassion Fatigue
Covid-19 has placed extraordinary demands on healthcare and human service workers, increasing rates of burnout and secondary trauma. To build resilience among frontline workers we must understand and normalize the effects of professional caregiving during a pandemic. This training provides an overview of the research on compassion fatigue and frameworks for increasing resilience as individuals and teams. Participants will apply resilience strategies through self-reflection and discussions to unite caregivers around shared experiences.
