Director of The Disparities Solution Center of Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Dr. Betancourt has spent many years working to improve quality of care, address racial and ethnic disparities, and achieve equity.
In response to findings presented in our recent
Cancer Disparities Needs Assessment for increased cultural awareness/sensitivity/ competency and improved health equity, Dr. Betancourt will be presenting on how MGH has remained successful in these areas.
Objectives of his presentation include:
• An overview of healthcare transformation and link to disparities and equity
• Highlighting root causes for disparities, drivers for addressing them, and their relationship to quality
Sharing lessons learned from MGH and a national network of hospitals across the country who are focused on improving quality and achieving equity.
